Smolr is a free and open-source macOS application designed for local image processing. You can compress and convert your images into modern formats like WebP, AVIF, and JPEG XL to save space and improve performance. Because all processing happens locally on your machine, your data remains private and secure. It offers a streamlined workflow for anyone needing to optimize images for the web or personal storage without relying on cloud-based services.

I made Smolr: batch image conversion on your Mac, fully local, open source. Very excited to get feedback and continue improving the app!
@hello7565 The download button on Smolr isn’t working — could you please check it? The app looks simple and lightweight, and I often convert images to WebP for marketing, so it’s a great fit for me.
Cool✨
@hello9891 can you tell me more? I just tried on multiple browsers and it works. It opens a modal then you can set a price if you want (0$ works) And it sends you to payhip to download. Also on GitHub https://github.com/jimjimca/Smolr
Love the simplicity of it
