Matdags is a mobile app that helps households measure and reduce food waste by making food inventory visible and actionable. Users scan groceries using barcodes, receipts, or images. Products are stored in a digital pantry with estimated expiration dates. The app sends timely notifications before food expires and generates AI powered recipes based on what is already available at home. We want to turn everyday food consumption into measurable data, Matdags helps users avoid unnecessary purchases, prevent food from being forgotten, and simplify meal planning. The goal is to treat food waste as a data problem and reduce it through better feedback loops at the household level.
